Your Inspirational Tour of Galilee, Samaria, and Judea awaits!
Around the geographical center of the Gospel story, we find the villages of Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Capernaum. The vision Jesus gives to that story is one of movement from his ministry in Galilee to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). During our tour we will step back into this story as we reflect on the ministry of Jesus from a boat on the Sea of Galilee, walk the streets of Capernaum, read the Sermon on the Mount from a mount in Galilee, and stand below the rock cliff at Caesarea Philippi. While in Judea we will walk in the Garden of Gethsemane, visit the temple mount, move along the base of the ancient western wall of the temple, sit on the steps of the Pool of Siloam, see the city walls from the house of Caiaphas, search for the empty tomb, and view the ancient city of Jerusalem from the top of the Mount of Olives. We will also visit a major launching point for the Gospel—Caesarea Maritima. As well, the Gospel story has a rich heritage in the history of Israel, so we will also visit sites like Dan, Hazor, Megiddo, Beth Shan, Beth Shemesh, Jericho, Qumran, Dead Sea, Samaria, and Hezekiah’s Tunnel.
